There is no end.

Justin and I both got back to Charleston on February 1st and were quickly whisked back into our southern lives.  I had surgery on the 6th.  Thank God the bump on my thumb turned out to only be a benign cyst, which I think was caused from a thorn prick and excessive video game playing with the other boys of 88 spring.

I found that a lot can change in a month.  People seeing new people, people doing new things.  The house has been turned upside down and back again, but it was great to see that it is still standing even if it is only by a couple of rusty nails.  Bean night has also been pushing forward which is great to see.  The community has to see that bean night only stands if the community props it up.  Without the community it will fail utterly.  I am glad most people have not moved on, as seems to be the case with most things.  People become excited at first but with our ADD culture we want to move on so quickly.  I hope this says something about the “integrity” (that is not the best word), how about soul, or power of bean night and the community it can bring together.  I got the pleasure of being there last Tuesday night and saw so many new faces which was wonderful.

Anyways, our trip ended.  But as the over used cliche reminds us, The end is just the beginning.  I don’t know about that.  I would like to think of it more as there is no end.  Everything is cyclical.

I am back out in Vancouver but only until Wednesday.  Then I meet my mom is Seattle, and we begin the ride home.  It will be a different trip than Justin and I’s, but I am looking forward to it all the same.  I wish I had some moving video to wrap up Justin and I’s trip, but it is not really wrapped up.  I was going to wrap up this blog, but I think I will keep it going.  I am still traveling.  So Travel on.
